Question by apbt_lover: Can sex offenders live with children?

The reason I am asking this is because I have a child by a man who is a sex offender and it was on "Sexual assault on child under 17". I was 16 at the time and he turned himself in because his family kept threatening to turn him in. Would he be able to live with children? Or does it depend if he is low, medium, or high risk? I know he is at a low risk. This was his first offence!

Also, if it matters we live in texas.

Each sex offender has a sentence and restrictions as part of that sentence..one must consider the child..what is best for the child..children need to be safe at all times..depends on the sentence restrictions..state laws..
Personally, no one ever convicted of a sexual offense would be living with me..with small children in the house..I would not take that risk..
