What American teens do on Friday night?

My cousin who came from America (who is a teenager) to Bangladesh. I'm Bangladeshi. She and I were wondering about the differences in the way we teenagers live in our respective countries.

At one point, she asked me don't we go out on Friday night? (NOTE: She used a Bangla Phrase which can either mean "To date with" or really to go outside with someone). She had a funny (and apparently sexual) gesture in her eyes. It might be that I was just a bit horny and find her appealing when she was merely showing a friendly inquisitive gesture.

Anyway I answered her "not usually". (just to save both sides you know, not to act too ignorant not too informed ;) )

I actually don't know what teens do on Friday nights in America. I mean do they simply party(without anything sexual) or do they have sex or simply go to cinema and stuffs.

Friday nights are just usually people hanging around each other and having a good time. It depends on the kind of person you are if you do sexual things or not, really... For example, my Friday nights consist of hanging out with my friend that goes to a different school, and we just basically laugh, listen to music, watch TV/movies, and eat. It sounds lame, but it's fun.
