Question by Lionel D: If you have unprotected sex with someone, who then tests negative for a STD, could you still have one?

Basically you're not sure if you have an STD, you have unprotected sex on a number of occasions with the same person, who then gets tested and has no STD's. Could it still be possible that you may have one you didn't know about, or the fact that you have had unprotected sex and not passed anything on show that you are clean?

There are some STD's that can lay dormant in your system and won't show up until later. When you say the other person got tested for STD's you have to be sure that is what they asked for.

Some women go into a PAP test assuming that the doctor will check for them, but they don't. If you are worried YOU have one and the other person showing cleans mean you are safe, that doesn't count, you could still be infected with something.
